In the years when the death penalty was still legal in Turkey, Arkın was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. Cüneyt, on the other hand, was imprisoned in the same prison for a minor injury offense. However, he frequently received solitary confinement for standing up against injustices in the prison. However, Cabbar, the real perpetrator of the crime for which Arkın was sentenced to death, planned an attack on the transfer vehicle to prevent Arkın from speaking before his execution.
